Steward COS
At Visit Colorado Springs, we go beyond destination marketing. We consider ourselves stewards of the Pikes Peak Region. Whether you're a visitor, local business or resident, you too can take care of this place with us.
Defining Stewardship
"Stewardship" is broadly defined as the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one's care.
Visit COS is entrusted with an allocation of the city's Lodgers and Automobile Rental Tax (LART) collections to be used to promote our destination's marketable assets and contribute to a flourishing community. These assets include cultural, natural and economic resources. A healthy tourism economy helps improve our destination for residents, visitors, event organizers and businesses now and for the future.
Support our city
Our visitors can be good stewards by following Leave No Trace principles when recreating outdoors, shopping and dining local to support small businesses and visiting museums and cultural sites in town.
Advocate for our home
Share your ideas, learn about the impact of tourism and share this place with your friends and families.
Spread the word about stewardship
Help us educate visitors and the community about best practices for responsible recreation when at our parks and trails, local events and neighborhoods.
Give back as a group
Discover the ways you can give back to Colorado Springs while you're in town by engaging with our local nonprofit organizations.
