The main event is the Star Spangled Symphony and Fourth of July Fireworks, featuring a performance by the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra followed by a stunning fireworks display. Celebrate America250 and the kickoff of the 18th Annual Green Box Arts Festival with a full day of family-friendly festivities, including a patriotic parade, community performances, a free hot dog lunch, a pie contest, live music and a block party. Guests can also design paper lanterns throughout the day and close out the celebration with the beloved Water Lantern Launch at Gazebo Lake.

Celebrate the 4th of July in Cripple Creek with a parade at 11:00 AM, food vendors, live music and an evening fireworks show. The festivities also include the Lake George Gem & Mineral Club Show at the District Museum parking lot from July 3–5. This year’s celebration honors both Colorado’s 150th anniversary and America’s 250th birthday.

Palmer Lake

National Museum of WWII Aviation

The National Museum of WWII Aviation is full throttle for our 4th of July celebration! Vintage autos will be parked among the aircraft on the museum's ramp; rides are available in the museum's vintage military vehicles; drawings for prizes will be held; children's activities will focus on STEM learning; and live entertainment will round out the day. Inside, in cool comfort, you can explore the museum's artifacts, exhibits and videos that tell the story of when the nation went to war to preserve our way of life.
