Visit Colorado Springs Puts a Spotlight on Live Music
Public survey open until Sept. 28 to gather community input
Thursday, September 10, 2026 – Colorado Springs, Colo. – Today, Visit Colorado Springs opened a public survey asking residents, visitors and members of the tourism and hospitality industry about their vision for the next phase of live music in the Pikes Peak Region.
The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and is a component of the organization’s music tourism strategy initiative – in development with a Colorado-based cultural tourism consultancy called Mission2Market (M2M).
“We are excited to work on a collaborative music tourism strategy,” said Alexea Veneracion, Director of Communications at Visit Colorado Springs. “With the support of M2M, the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region and music entities around the city – plus the feedback we receive from the public survey – we will be equipped with the research and ideas we need to move this initiative forward.”
Colorado Springs has an array of venues from the Broadmoor World Arena and Pikes Peak Center to Ford Amphitheater, Phil Long Music Hall, The Black Sheep, Vultures, Thrashers and more. Plus, the upcoming revitalization of the historic City Auditorium. There is great local music talent and plenty of opportunity to begin attracting more musical acts, events and conferences to the region. The feedback from this survey will help determine the positioning of the destination to the music industry and visitors.
The survey is available through Monday, September 28, 2026. Participants can enter a drawing for a $200 Visa gift card on the final page of the survey.
“A big thank you to everyone who takes the time to complete the survey,” said Veneracion. “You are helping us shape the future of live music in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region.”
