Visit Colorado Springs Debuts "Colorado Springs: A Place to Belong"
New video highlights region history, how it has informed present
Tuesday, September 1, 2026 – Colorado Springs, Colo. – Today, Visit Colorado Springs published a new 'brand anthem' video, highlighting the Pikes Peak Region's rich heritage and how it has informed the present and future of the destination.
“More than anything, we view this campaign and video as a celebration of Colorado Springs,” said Amy Long, Chief Development Officer at Visit COS. “With 2026 marking both America’s 250th and Colorado’s 150th anniversaries, it was important to us to showcase how the area’s history has made it the vibrant community and exciting destination we know today.”
Viewers will notice both subtle and overt nods to the pillars of Colorado Springs’ identity – from gold mining to gold medals, the U.S. Air Force Academy, a blossoming arts and culture scene and the people behind it all. Also featured are the region’s early settlers, diverse outdoor offerings, food and beverage influences and more.
Funded by a 2026 Tourism Marketing Grant through the Colorado Tourism Office, the project also includes a digital campaign and landing page on VisitCOS.com, focused on highlighting Colorado Springs’ history, arts and cultural offerings.
“This video was made alongside the community. Not only will it be shown to visitors, but also to our locals – to remind them of the things that make this region so special,” said Long. “We hope it can be something that inspires visitors and also fosters a sense of pride in those who call Colorado Springs home.”
The video, titled “Colorado Springs: A Place to Belong” was produced by Level 1 Productions, based out of Denver. The narration and script was created by Pikes Peak Region Poet Laureate, Ashley Cornelius. The full poem – “Beneath the Sun Mountain”, video and additional regional history can be found at VisitCOS.com/history.
