Visit Colorado Springs Celebrates 2023 National Travel and Tourism Week

From May 7-13, head to the @VisitCOS channels for a giveaway, fun facts & more

May 4, 2023 – Colorado Springs, Colo. – Starting May 7, Visit Colorado Springs is joining the U.S. Travel Association in celebrating National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW).

Every year, the tourism industry rallies together the first week of May for NTTW. From economic growth to personal wellbeing, travel has major positive impacts, not just for travelers, but for residents as well. This year’s national theme for NTTW is “Travel Forward.” This theme demonstrates how integral travel is to every industry and fostering a future of growth and innovation.

“The travel industry supports 15 million American jobs according to U.S. Travel,” said Doug Price, President & CEO of VCOS. “For Colorado, tourism is the 4th largest employment sector. Investing in the future of the industry is key to the long-term economic success of our destination.”

Throughout the week, VCOS will focus on sharing five core tourism benefits, including: 1) Stimulating economic growth, 2) Cultivating vibrant communities, 3) Creating quality job opportunities, 4) Inspiring new businesses and 5) Elevating the quality of life for residents. There will be a giveaway hosted on the @VisitCOS Instagram account and tourism facts shared across all social channels.

Learn more about the U.S Travel Association’s event and read Visit COS’s blog post highlighting the benefits of tourism.
