Dear Director of Photography,
I’m a Colorado-based Camera Utility / Assistant Camera / Operator with 11+ years on major live sports and events—college football, Denver Broncos, Rockies, Big-12, the 2018 U.S. Senior Open at The Broadmoor, and more. I anticipate needs, work fast and precisely, and keep comms clean so shots stay on schedule and on budget.
Camera Utility:
Run and manage cable in complex venues; build and strike RF chains; convert/route signal; clean fiber and lenses.
Support handheld/box cams: coil, battery swaps, lens wipes, and quick fixes under pressure.
Assistant Camera:
Credits include a wrestling documentary for the 2021 Olympics (working title: Helen), Comedy Dynamics’ Chris Porter: A Man from Kansas, Sting Boxing commercial, and a Tri-County Health Department training series.
Build monitors, Teradeks, and video village; run SDI; swap lenses and media; label, back up, and track.
Camera Operator:
Live events and broadcast for Toastmasters International (2019 Convention), Leadville Race Series (2019), Pac-12 Networks, UNC Football, The Broadmoor Hotel, Comcast Entertainment Television (HS football), plus studio camera for KRDO NewsChannel 13 and Altitude TV (Nuggets/Avalanche).
Strong shot composition, follow, and game sense; proactive comms with DPs and TDs.
Tools & Systems:
ARRI ALEXA, RED EPIC, Sony A7 II & CineAlta PMW-F55, Panasonic AG-HPX500; Teradek; SDI/fiber; wireless video; LUTs and monitoring; basic shading support.
Training & Certs:

Safe Sets COVID-19 Level A & B.
Professional:
U.S. Air Force veteran with a strong work ethic, calm under pressure, and meticulous attention to detail. Proud member, IBEW Local 45 (North Hollywood). I’m ready for long days, fast turnarounds, and whatever it takes to deliver a clean, reliable camera package.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
/s/ David L. Ulery
