Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region
Overview
The Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR) is the region's designated local arts agency, dedicated to enriching the community by supporting arts, culture and creative industries throughout the Pikes Peak Region. Serving as a connector, advocate and resource, the Cultural Office works with artists, nonprofit organizations, cultural institutions and community partners to strengthen the region's vibrant creative economy and enhance quality of life through the arts.
The Cultural Office plays an important role in supporting the local film community by promoting film festivals, screenings and cinematic events through PeakRadar.com, the region's comprehensive arts and entertainment calendar. Filmmakers and film organizations can submit events free of charge, making it easier for residents and visitors to discover screenings, festivals, networking opportunities and special programs taking place throughout the year. The organization also helps raise awareness of the region's growing film industry through marketing, partnerships and community engagement.
Beyond film, the Cultural Office champions all forms of artistic expression through signature programs such as Arts Month, Give! Campaign, Creative Stays, ArtsBiz, public art initiatives and professional development opportunities for artists and nonprofit organizations. By fostering collaboration across creative disciplines, the organization helps build meaningful connections between artists, audiences, businesses and community leaders while encouraging cultural tourism and economic development throughout the region.
As the central hub for arts and culture in the Pikes Peak Region, the Cultural Office provides valuable resources, advocacy and visibility for the film community alongside hundreds of other creative organizations. Its commitment to collaboration, education and community engagement continues to strengthen the region's cultural landscape, making Colorado Springs an inspiring place to create, experience and celebrate the arts in all their forms.
