As of Wednesday, July 15, the Aspen Acres Fire is still burning. Colorado Springs is not under any pre-evacuation or evacuation notices. Visitors should still be prepared for dry and potentially smoky conditions.

Nearby wildfires can affect travel plans, recreation opportunities, and air quality across the state, but the Royal Gorge Region remains open for business. The Bridge remains open for business as normal from 9 am to 7 pm each day. As of right now, the major routes to the bridge from Colorado Springs and Denver remain open and accessible. When traveling from the south, we recommend that guests consult the most recent updates on Watch Duty. (link)
