Event Summary
Take a journey through the history of women's fashion!
Join presenter Jane Miller, Pikes Peak State College professor, in a presentation about all things Victorian fashion. Not only will Jane talk about the evolution of women's clothing 1840-1900 decade-by-decade, but she will relate it to what was happening in Colorado at the time of these drastic fashion trends.
Jane will bring a collection of both original and painstakingly recreated Victorian clothing for visitors to view. Visitors will also delight in a "get ready with me" section where you will see all of the layers it took to create those distinct Victorian silhouettes.
