The Royal Gorge War

Railway drama in Colorado reached a high point in 1879 when Bat Masterson, Doc Holiday, and about 60 others were hired by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway to defend their interests against the Denver and Rio Grande Railway.

Join us for the McAllister House Museum speaker series to learn more about the struggle for the Royal Gorge and to engage with some rare railway artifacts from the Royal Gorge War.
