Most recently on tour with Amos Lee, SHEL captivates audiences with their infectious rhythms, hypnotic vocals, and completely unique sound. Their spellbinding live performances tap deep skills as instrumentalists to generate impressive power on stage.
SHEL is an acronym for their names with Sarah on violin and guitar, Hannah on keys, accordion and synth bass, Eva on mandolin and lead vocals, and Liza on drums, djembe, and beatboxing. Raised in Colorado, the SHEL sisters had an unconventional upbringing where they were home schooled and raised on an abandoned trailer park that the family turned into a working farm. This unique background encouraged a broad range of creative ventures that allowed them to make an independent living on the road starting in their early teens.
While touring across the U.S. & Europe, the band films and edits their own music videos, which have received rave reviews and premiered in USA Today, Huffington Post and Nerdist to name just a few. SHEL’s music can be heard in numerous films, TV shows and commercials including “Hold On” in The Best of Me and the iconic snowboarder Travis Rice, used SHEL’s song “When The Sky Fell” in his film The Fourth Phase with additional songs featured in The Fosters, Eye Candy, Toys R Us, Glade, Splenda and more.
