Where to Watch the Kentucky Derby in Colorado Springs

Grab your fancy hats, and pants, to enjoy one of these Kentucky Derby parties in the Pikes Peak region. Not sure what to wear? Here’s a guide to the best derby day attire.

The Gold Room – Join the Junior League of Colorado Springs for their 3rd annual Kentucky Derby Party. The fundraising events include a live airing of the derby, a silent auction, hat contest and more. Purchase tickets online through May 2nd.

General Admission: $60 includes entry, appetizers and beer/wine open bar.

VIP: $80 includes entry, appetizers, souvenir glass, valet parking and open bar to include beer, wine & mint juleps.

Axe and the Oak Whiskey House – Head to the 3rd Annual Kentucky Derby Party at Axe and the Oak Whiskey House. Sip on $8 Mint Juleps all day while watching the live stream of the derby starting at 2:00 PM. DJ Rocky Ross will be spinning tunes throughout the event. Don your best derby attire as the best-dressed will receive a bottle of Axe and the Oak Bourbon, Moonshine or Rye and their own set of Mint Julep tins.

Kentucky Berby at Flying Horse – Enjoy an afternoon of tasting 35 whiskeys and bourbons while watching the Kentucky Derby on the big screen and supporting the Colorado Professional Firefighters Foundation.  Dress in your derby best to enter a drawing for a $100.00 Steakhouse Gift Card.

Cork & Cask - The Kentucky Derby is a time-honored tradition that dates to the 1800s. Cork & Cask will be celebrating by showing the race, having a Derby Hat Competition for female patrons and offering specials on Mint Juleps and other cocktails.
