We’ve compiled a list of our favorite regional activities that can be enjoyed this summer at a safe and responsible distance. Explore our Hiking & Biking Trails
The Pikes Peak region is a hiking and biking enthusiast’s dream come true. With hundreds of trails spanning three counties, there’s no shortage of wilderness to explore at a safe distance. Follow our simple tips and tricks to practicing safe social distancing in the great outdoors to ensure you have the best experience out on the trails.

Get 18 Holes In
Don't worry golfers, you don't have to sacrifice your handicap during the pandemic. With the open-air, spacious fairways and one-rider-per-cart rule, golfing is a great social distancing activity that lets you tee-off responsibly and safely. Take a Scenic Drive
There’s an abundance of gorgeous views throughout the region to enjoy. Roll down the windows and crank your favorite tunes while you enjoy breathtaking scenery from the safety of your own vehicle. Drive the stunning winding pass to Woodland Park, brave the steep hogbacks of Skyline Drive, navigate switchbacks to the summit Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain and more. Try your Balance on a Stand-Up Paddle Board
Warmer weather calls for a much-needed reprieve on one of our crystal-clear reservoirs or lakes. Hop on a paddleboard and glide across the water solo or test your balance at a SUP yoga class, like one with Dragon Fly Paddle yoga.
Tour Art on the Streets
Take a self-guided art tour through the streets of downtown Colorado Springs and peruse local artwork in our fresh, Rocky Mountain air. Download the free GPS-based app Otocast via iTunes or Google Play to hear commentary from the artists themselves. Along your route, you’ll find a variety of restaurants offering take-out, patio and limited inside seating.
Walk on the Wild Side
Take a tour of the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center. Experience the majesty of these gorgeous canines in tours limited to no more than 10 people per group. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo will be opening back up soon with staggered entrances and limited hours.
Get Your Adrenaline Pumping

Tackle Some Rapids
Climb aboard a raft and set sail for an adventure down the Arkansas River. Many of our region’s whitewater rafting outfitters are taking reservations with extra safety guidelines and sanitation procedures in place. Enjoy an adventure ranging from extreme whitewater rafting to calm family floats. Be sure to check individual outfitters for who is open.
