Spring break in Colorado Springs is the perfect time to take that family road trip. Whether it's a full week of fun at camps offered by America's only mountain zoo, a mine-craft themed excursion or a cycling experience to enjoy the beauty of Colorado Springs and the surrounding region, there are plenty spring break activities and ways to learn a thing or two during a spring break in Colorado; even when school isn't in session.

Bricks-4-Kidz Spring Break Camps
WMMI has partnered with Bricks-4-Kidz, to provide spring break camp programs for children where We learn, We build, We play… with LEGO® bricks. Specially designed project kits and theme-based models provide the building blocks for our approach to educational play. Campers will face new challenges each day, building motorized models and learning STEM principles along the way! Programs are created and designed by engineers and architects, with exciting themes like Star Wars and Super heroes! Prices range from $50 to $75. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is hosting (2) full week camps, "Amazing Animals" - Ages 5-7 and "Junior Veterinarian" for ages 8-10. Each day will include time inside and outside as well as up-close and personal time with some Zoo animals. Participants may attend all five days or any number of days through the week. March 23 - 27. Paint a different kind of spring break at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. Sign up now for one of eight amazing art workshops, March 23-27, at The Fine Arts Center’s Bemis School of Art for ages 6 to adult. Younger kids can discover the crazy possibilities of working with acrylics, watercolors, pastels and Piñata, while older kids will learn how to turn old T-shirts into works of art, weave yarn, create anime and a lot more. Be one with the outdoors during Fountain Creek Nature Center's spring break Nature Camp: "Watershed Warriors". Playtime in the woods, building forts, fishing, games, and making friends are portals to learning about nature and ourselves. Through a variety of daily topics, nature campers will discover the world around them and how to be stewards of the environment. The week concludes with a jeopardy competition between parents and campers and a week-in-review DVD. Free t-shirt included. BYO lunch and re-usable water bottle. Prepaid registration required. Join the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region for new adventures at Camp Whiskers & Wags: Spring Edition – where kids and critters become friends! Camp Whiskers & Wags helps kids foster a respect for animals through engaging activities, encourages compassionate actions, and teaches responsible pet ownership. Best of all, campers participate in hands-on activities with animals of all shapes and sizes! One-day camps run March 24 – 27 for kids 6 to 12 years old.

The Space Foundation Discovery Center is preparing to spend spring break with the public by exploring science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) in a week filled with “tinkering” activities.
A variety of activities are planned which are appropriate for children ages 4-8 with an adult helper and ages 9-17 on their own. Each day of the event will provide a new hands-on activity to engage students in the STEAM subjects. The week-long event will wrap-up with the construction of a Chain Reaction Machine, also known as a Rube Goldberg Machine, which will be launched at noon on Saturday, March 28.
The following activities* are included in the daily admission price to the Discovery Center:
Tuesday - Friday activities are offered from 11:00 a.m. - noon and from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
