MAGIC TOWN: Located in the heart of Old Colorado City, The Michael Garman Museum and Gallery also houses Michael Garman’s unique 3,000 square-foot sculptural theater—Magic Town. This miniature city, built at 1:6th scale, depicts the gritty neighborhoods of Michael Garman’s past—when he lived as a self-described vagabond, hitchhiking from town to town. Magic Town combines hundreds of original characters with intricately detailed buildings—brownstones, missions, back alleys and hotels—holograms that heckle you as you pass, sounds effects, trick lighting and mirrored illusions that make entire alleyways disappear right before your eyes. Open 7 days/week, all Magic Town admissions include complimentary popcorn and a scavenger hunt.
