Ridin’ at the M Lazy C Ranch puts guests in the boots of a cowboy on a journey through Colorado’s pristine wilderness. Whether guests only have time for an hour ride, or time to spend a couple of hours, or days with us, they are treated to the timeless views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains that have humbled Native Americans, explorers, settlers, cowboys, and ranch guests for generations. Every horseback ride takes guests through the Pike National Forest and past historic mining claims. Of note, those savy for a couple hrs in the saddle will see where the Hayman Fire started in 2002 and how the forest is recovering. Native grasses, wildflowers, aspen, and countless species of wildlife are already taking back the land the fire destroyed.

Horseback rides are open to the public year-round. Children of all ages are always welcome! Our Wranglers will match the horse to the ability and physical requirements of each rider and make every effort to ride to the guests’ abilities.
