The Glen Eyrie Castle is a hidden gem on the west side of Colorado Springs. Just minutes from downtown Glen Eyrie is the original estate of General William Jackson Palmer, founder of Colorado Springs. Today Glen Eyrie is proudly owned by the Navigators, an international Christian Ministry and serves the local community as well as international guests with gracious hospitality and a grandeur that is unparalleled. The centerpiece of this 800 acre oasis with its towering rock formations, lush lawns and gardens and wildlife is of course the Castle. Finished in 1904, it's grand entry welcomes all guests seeking a retreat from the world. Overnight guests are treated to a time when life was a little more restful and a place that is as glorious as the One who created it.
Overnight guests may choose to stay in one of our 17 rooms in the Castle, each room decorated in a period style decor that reflects the appointments of the Palmer family. Additionally, multiple lodges throughout the property are a perfect getway for families and those seeking the serenity of the property coupled with a simpler feel.
During your stay delight in an afternoon tea in the music room or library of the Castle and You can also enjoy a guided castle tour of the castle where enchantment awaits as you experience the brilliance of General Palmer and all of his early innovations and learn about the family, including Queen and the story of the castle.
