Colorado Springs is a beautiful world-class city that has historically inspired artists and poets from around the world. In 1893, the view from Pikes Peak - America's Mountain - inspired Katharine Lee Bates to pen the words to "America the Beautiful" as she stood on the summit of the mountain and gazed upon the "purple mountain's majesty and amber waves of grain."
