Earth Day Activities in Colorado Springs

Doesn't Mother Earth deserve a little love? Pay homage to our big, beautiful planet in Colorado Springs and the region this April.

Date: April 16, 2016; 9am-3pm

Earth Day at the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center is a free family fun event and will also promote grassroots community action in protecting the environment through cleanup efforts at the Park. Participants should park at Rock Ledge Ranch and take the free shuttle to the Visitor Center for the festivities. The shuttle win run every 15 minutes from 9am-3pm. All volunteers will receive a free lunch.

Some highlights of the event include:

Free admission to Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site and their events
Air Force Academy Falconer's (Live Falcons)
Chemical Magic Show
American Indian Dancers
Live animals and presentations from Nature's Educations, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and others.
Peterson Air Force Base Fire Department Smoke House Education
Front Range Climbing education demonstrations
Adventures Out West Segway demonstations
Nature walks, wildlife touch tables, arts & crafts and education exhibits
